Many workers have died on stone crushers

In the last two decades, many workers at stone crushers have died due to sand collapse or by drowning in deep pits created in Kosi due to mining. There are blatant violations of labor laws at stone crushers. There is no provision for helmets etc. for the workers to avoid accidents.

The families belong to the poor class due to which they are unable to compete with the crusher operators. It is alleged that cases of deaths of workers at crushers have often been settled.
